The first step you must take, as the tall tower sponsor, is to determine if you are required to file an airspace study with the FAA (previously done with a paper form 7460). The FAA now requires that all airspace studies be filed electronically on the FAA's OE/AAA website. First you must use the Notice Criteria Tool on the lower left side of the webpage to determine if you need to file a notice of proposed construction with the FAA. If the Notice Criteria Tool requests that you file, follow the instructions on how to E-file on the OE/AAA home-page, it will guide you through the filing process.
