Bicycle commuting
Bicycling can be the easiest and quickest mode of travel for those who live within a few miles (or even further) from work or school. Not only does commuting by bicycle save money, it's great exercise.
The Southeast Wisconsin RIDESHARE program offers a bike buddy program that matches bicyclists with others by experience level. Registrations are on-line and interactive so you can contact your matches right from your match report.
WisDOT has installed bike racks at most park and ride lots in southeast Wisconsin. Racks are available on a first come first serve basis. Contact the Southeast Region bicycle coordinator at (262) 548-8794 to find out more about bike parking at park and ride lots.
The Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin (BFW) works with businesses in Wisconsin communities to actively promote bicycling as a healthy way to get to work. In addition, the BFW provides employees with information on biking to work.
